LAND RIGHTS & ENVIRONMENTAL GOVERNANCE

I study how power, politics, and policy impact the way people make decisions about their environment.

My current research focuses on decision-making around water infrastructure and climate resiliency in the US.

Previously, I have studied the social and environmental implications of international Indigenous rights laws on Quechua-speaking Andean communities affected by the mining industry in Peru. Read more about my research here.

My teaching is likewise driven by an interest in complex, multi-scale socio-ecological issues. I aim to teach students be conversant across disciplines, and to hone the kinds of skills that are necessary to address some of the pressing issues that our society faces today. Learn more here.
